Website: What's
Changed?
I'm not entirely sure if this page is worthwhile, but I'll do it for a bit and see what happens. As changes are made to the site they will be detailed (to a greater or lesser extent) in a log here. This log only goes back to the creation of the latest location (www.SGBowmen.com) as the history for the previous two or three sites was getting on a bit...
3rd of December:
Well, November is done and December is here. What does that mean? I really should think about my Christmas shopping! On a more related note, it means that the Postal League has recommenced...
The compound team are off to a good start, already nearly twenty points up on last year. Unfortunately, the recurve team didn't manage quite as well - though they did field a full team. Well done to everyone who shot, keep up the good work.
11th of November:
Those of you who have been waiting will have spotted that the anticipated third update of the moth never arrived.
Brian has now sent me a picture (only twenty days after his promise!) so he gets a prize for the quickest update in quite some time. His name in print. ;-)
21st of October:
Two updates in a week - I might not keep up at this rate...
Brian says he'll send me some pictures and scores to complement this little write-up so you may even see another update this month!
16th of October:
It's a fair cop. For once I have been sent lots of things but haven't updated the site. I could plead work commitments and lack of time but in reality I've been enjoying myself in Egypt. It's a gorgeous place but I would recommend going in the winter as it was still forty-five degrees when I left... but I digress. The changes are:
Thank you Jo for the report on the championships, and well done to all those who competed in the event. Finally, before I go, welcome to our new members. Hopefully you'll write a bit about yourselves so that I can put it up on the folk section.
29th of August:
Hmm. Another month of silence, but at least now I have some good news to share.
Well done to everyone involved in setting these records, it's good to see the club is still progressing, even in one of its slower years. A special mention to John and Hamish who managed to set the same new record on the same day! (FITA 30m compound record)
Ok, so I just remembered that last years scores were still up. Page is now cleared ready for 2005/06, with only predicted scores showing. :-)
29th of July:
Ah, another member has written their life story for me. :-)
I know there have been several new records set but with me being on holiday and everyone being busy with the outdoor season [I even shot! First time in a year. :-) ] they haven't reached me or the website. Will update them as soon as I get told what they are.
15th of June:
Well, someone is looking at the site. :-) It appears that our records officer made a slight slip in the records for the club, thanks to John for pointing out some missed scores.
3rd of June:
I've been in contact with the provider again, he is hopefully
doing something to allow the rest of the site to go live shortly. Until
then, Kevin has sent me an updated record sheet for the club.
Congratulations to everyone with new records but especially Hamish for securing
all but one of the Compound records and Mel for destroying her old Windsor
record.
I've also finally stopped playing with the 'Fun' page so it is finally being
issued. I've juggled it around a bit and changed the formatting in an
attempt to make it easier to use, hopefully people will agree.
28th of May:
Mel has kindly sent me some news like stuff that was going to go into the delayed newsletter. I'm still trying to work out where to put most of it but I have updated a couple of bits of the site with information that she supplied.
12th of May:
I'm going to try something different with the new site.
Each time I change the site the mods will be written here and transferred to a
log (What's changed...) when the next change occurs.
I've generally played around with the layout rather than the content but please
contact me
if there is something that you think should be added or changed.
