John Sullivan

John was one of the founding members of our club.
Started archery in 1987 when I went to university, and basically have been busy doing a lot of other archery related things like coaching, judging and organising some aspects of student archery. This has meant that I havenít shot much until I switched to compound in 2004 (I now have 3 bows ñ compound, recurve and flatbow).
At the moment I am trying to juggle shooting with coaching, judging, work and everything else. I have to up my comfort zone in order to shoot better (not to mention more practice ñ but I am already shooting more that I did in the previous 5 years). The other aspect of my style that I need to work on is triggering my release aid.
Almost everyone who knows me, knows my haiku that I am always striving to achieve:-
After the string is
Released, the speeding arrow
Cannot be brought back.
However ñ almost everyone points out that you do get them back once you collect them from the target...
